Where to dine or get takeout in Marin on Christmas Day

While most Marin restaurants are closed on Christmas, several have chosen to remain open for those who don’t celebrate the holiday or would prefer to spend it outside the kitchen. From takeout meals to traditional feasts, below is a list of options categorized by cuisine. Traditional American

• Cavallo Point at 601 Murray Circle in Sausalito is in full celebration mode on Christmas Day. Choose one of two seatings between noon and 5 p.m. for the grand buffet held in the Surfbird and Tidewater rooms ($165 for adults, $70 for children) or an adult and a children’s four-course prix fixe menu from noon to 9 p.m. at Sula restaurant ($125 for adults, $55 for children).
