‘I think Wallin is gonna beat him’: Arum says Joshua has his work cut out for him this weekend
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum believes Otto Wallin scores the upset over Anthony Joshua.
During a conversation captured by Fight Hub TV, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum weighs in on this weekend’s heavyweight action in Saudi Arabia, saying he pegging Otto Wallin to score the upset win over Anthony Joshua, who he believes isn’t quite as good as he’s been made out to be.
Arum on the plans to stage a Wilder vs Joshua fight following their upcoming fights
“Let me tell you, Joshua, I believe, has his work cut out for him with Otto Wallin. I think Otto Wallin is gonna beat him. I think Otto Walling is a really underrated fighter, I think he has a lot of skills, and I like him to win over Joshua. I think Wilder will be okay with Joseph Parker, who’s a good fighter but doesn’t have the firepower to match Wilder. But I think Wallin could upset the apple cart. I really believe that.”
On who he sees winning a Wilder vs Joshua fight should it happen
“Wilder. I’m not a big Joshua fan, not that I have anything against him. But let’s be honest about it, his performances have been spotty and he hasn’t demonstrated the ability to take the fight to his opponent. That’s why Usyk was able to beat him twice although he’s a much smaller guy. I think Joshua is a good fighter but not on the level of Fury or Wilder or Usyk, as Usyk demonstrated.”
