Savvy mum shares £7 cosy hack for her fellow ‘cold tatties’ that keeps you warm without putting the heating on
A SAVVY mum has revealed the £7 buy she swears by to keep cosy this winter – and she can take it with her anywhere.
Jessica Bank, from Fife, is a self-confessed “cold tattie” and says she struggles to stay warm.
But her bargain TikTok Shop find – a hot water belt – is now her “favourite thing” as it keeps the cold at bay.
Showing it off in a short TikTok video (@jessicabanktattoo), she said: “Does your man keep turning the heating down on car drives?
“Cosy hack for all you cold tatties like me.
“Let me introduce you to my best TikTok find. Hot water bottle belt with hand warmers.”
She added: “I honestly take this everywhere. Hairdressers, car journeys, lash appointments and dog walks.
“It’s my new favourite thing.”
Tattoo artist Jessica picked up the koala bear hot water belt from TikTok Shop.
The £10.49 item is currently on sale for just £7.34.
And Jessica’s not the only one who swears by it, as another shopper gushed: “It is the best thing I have ever bought and keeps your hands nice and warm in the winter.”
Someone else chimed in: “This product is a must not a need. It keeps you toasty and it is easy to work.
Meanwhile, another agreed: “Perfect for keeping warm as I’m always cold. Great quality for the price.”
With snow on the way, you might be thinking about other ways to save money while trying to stay warm.
As energy prices remain high, one heating expert has shared his top tips on how to keep the cost down.
Rob Nezard, MD of UK Radiators, says you should always be getting your radiators and heating system regularly maintained, checked and repaired to keep initial costs down.
He said even reducing your thermostat by one degree can save you up to £145-a-year.
And it’s bad news if you have pretty radiator covers throughout your home.
Rob added: “They may look nice, but they absorb heat and are going to mean the boiler runs for longer than it needs to.
“And that all adds up.”
