Our Yorkshire Farm’s Reuben Owen fumes ‘I’m sick of it!’ after working ‘flat out’ in brutal conditions
OUR Yorkshire Farm star Reuben Owen has been left raging after being ‘sick’ of working in brutal conditions.
The son of Clive and Amanda Owen, 19, works in construction on his own family farm, Ravenseat, as well as on other projects further afield.
But it seems as though the young star may have finally had enough after snapping that he has been worked “flat out” this year.
Reuben has faced wintry conditions in the Yorkshire Dales including battling gale-force winds.
With the weather increasingly disruptive in the run-up to Christmas, it appears to have been testing the Channel 5 star’s patience.
He uploaded a brand new social media clip of him at work in less than favourable conditions surrounded by a mountain of machinery and tractors.
Admitting he was almost at the end of his tether, Reuben fumed in his Instagram caption: “On to the next job. Getting sick of the rain now. #wet #rain.”
He also shared the clip to TikTok with his many fans who were quick to offer up their own words of encouragement.
One TikTok user when onto ask the star if he had been kept “busy” to which Reuben said: “Been flat out this year mate.”
Offering up some support, one fan wrote to the teen: “For a lad of your age you are doing brilliant pal so focused when I was your age I wasn’t as focused as you top lad.”
Another penned: “It’s great the way you get on what a great example of good worth ethic & practice…do hope you give yourself a nice break over the festival period just to enjoy & recharge yourself.”
A third went on to say: “You’re an inspiration for young people, hardworking love watching your posts.”
Before a fourth wrote: “Good to see you working hard with different machines Reuben…Well Done Lad.”
The family have been hard at work repairing a dilapidated property with it all being recorded for Amanda’s big TV comeback.
The Yorkshire Shepherdess, 49, feared the end of her telly career after we exposed her five-year fling with a 71-year-old web designer.
But the mum-of-nine is returning in Channel 4’s Our Farm Next Door.
The series will follow Amanda, Clive and their son Reuben, 19, as they renovate a farmhouse. It began production in August and is due to air next year.
A source close to the family, based at Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire, said: “Amanda’s ego has taken a battering. Her popularity fell off a cliff after the affair was exposed.
“She knows the only way for her to get back on TV — and for it to be successful — is for Clive to be involved and for them to put up a united front.”
