I’m a new mom who always wears inappropriate outfits to my baby groups, people say I shouldn’t but my clothes are iconic
A FUN-LOVING mom has revealed how much she likes to show off her unique style at her child’s baby groups.
People said that the way the new parent expresses herself isn’t the most appropriate, but she thinks it’s iconic.
Self-described millennial mom Laura (@lauragrigasart) prides herself on sharing “easy, feel-good postpartum outfits,” according to her TikTok bio.
In a video, she detailed how many of her baby groups didn’t favor her clothing.
The subtitle read: “Wearing inappropriate outfits to baby groups is my whole personality at this point.”
She wore black cargo sweatpants, Ugg slippers, and an oversized red holiday sweater that read: “It’s Christmas b*****s.”
To add to the look, her hair was styled in chich half-up and half-down pigtails, which showed off her pink streak.
The young woman proudly smiled and posed in the outfit that emphasized her mom bod.
Laura also joked in the caption that if dressing inappropriately “was a sport she’d have won a gold medal by now.”
Viewers appreciated her confident attitude and shared supportive words.
One commented: “Love this!! Still going to the baby groups. Definitely need to up my outfit game.”
She replied: “Wear anything that makes you feel amazing.”
“You’re the kind of mum I would seek out at the toddler group,” another added.
A woman chimed: “I don’t get what’s wrong with the outfit.”
Laura wrote back: “Well, Tracey, that means you’re my kind of girl!”
She even went into greater detail in another video and shared a few more examples of some of the unpopular styles she’s worn to a few of the baby meetings.
They ranged from the outfit above to a black bodysuit with a long black tutu skirt to a fashionable red ensemble with a bold red sweater and form-fitting red flare pants.
Laura joked that she was always “extra” in the caption.
“When people ask me why I don’t wear ‘normal’ clothes to baby groups,” the subtitle read.
The background audio simply answered for her by saying: “Cause it’s iconic, and I love to do iconic s**t.”
Another mother shared: “Yaaaas! I hate baby groups not going to lie. I never find my people there and then feel weird that I have no ‘new’ mum friends just my actual friends with babies.”
