My ‘wring method’ gets clothes pretty much dry in seconds, all you need is a bathroom essential
AN eco-conscious woman has shared a savvy hack for drying clothes quickly without using a tumble dryer.
Many of us have experienced the panic of discovering the stylish piece of clothing we had planned to wear is still damp.
However, this handy tip can drastically reduce the time it takes to dry and doesn’t require the use of any electricity.
The genius behind the idea took to TikTok posting under the handle @sheetslaundryclub to share the hack with almost 12,000 followers.
“Why hasn’t anyone been talking about this hack to air dry clothes faster?” she said.
She used a green chiffon blouse that had just been taken out of the washing machine to demonstrate the hack.
“Step one place your wet item on a clean dry towel,” she said.
“Roll up your towel with your clothing inside. Twist the towel to wring moisture out of your clothing.
“Press down firmly on the towel roll.
“Unroll the towel and your item will be mostly dry.”
She captioned the post, writing: “Like to skip the dryer but want your clothes to dry fast?
“Try this laundry hack for delicate clothing care. Follow for sustainable laundry tips and tricks!”
She included the hashtags #clothingcaretips and #laundryhackthatworks which helped the video to go viral on the social media platform.
The TikToker said the hack is “perfect” for when you need to dry your swimsuit on vacation.
Thousands of people were impressed with the useful advice and liked the post to show their appreciation.
Many viewers also took to the comment section to say thank you after trying the hack for themselves.
“OMG what it actually worked,” one person wrote. “This is so smart,” another said.
“It worked!! Thank you so much I was in a rush,” a third chimed in.
“I didn’t know this wow,” a fourth confessed.
The tip comes after another TikToker shared advice for drying a full load of washing inside the house without leaving them selling like an “old sponge”.
Chrissy J (@chrissy.j.xx) piled her family’s freshly washed clothes on a rack before covering them with a bed sheet.
She then placed a fan worth just $17 from Walmart on the floor underneath the rack.
“The only way to dry my clothes in winter without them getting that horrible damp smell,” read the text over the video. “Dry in 1.5 hours and smell great.”
