I love fake tan and even slather it on my face, but my mom says I look like an ‘Oompa Loompa’ when I overdo it
A LOVER of the fake tan look thinks she may have been over-doing it following a comment from her mom.
When she slathered a sun-kissed product all over her face, her mom looked on with interest.
When the beauty routine was complete, her mom delivered her damning verdict.
It wasn’t one her daughter, Eleanor (@_eleanorwilkes_), particularly wanted to hear.
Instead of hearing words like honey-skinned lovely, her mom said she looked like an Oompa Loompa.
Oompa Loompas were workers at Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.
Eleanor, who has 681,000 followers, replayed the drama in one of the skits she has become well-known for on her TikTok.
“Mums when you use too much fake tan,” she captioned her video.
In the post, Eleanor pasted her face with layers of fake tan, giving her a sunset glow.
“Mum, have I fake-tanned my face enough?” she asked.
It was a question probably best not directed at her mom judging by her reply.
“Call the chocolate factory. We’ve got an Oompa Loompa on the loose,” said mom.
Eleanor risked asking another question: “Do I really look that bad?”
Mom’s reaction this time was less a chocolate violation and more of a crispy snack one.
“I’m not going to lie to you. You do look a bit like a Wotsits (Cheetos),” she said.
“But you like Wotsits,” squealed Eleanor in a vain attempt at defending her fake tan.
“Not anymore I don’t,” said her mom deadpan.
