The United States and the European Union trade goods and services with each other at a value of $1.3 trillion (€1.2 trillion) a year. The transatlantic trade supports around 16 million jobs on both sides of the Atlantic. Yet, there is no trade agreement between the two. The negotiations of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) were buried in 2016.
