Coronation Street fans disgusted after a desperate Ed Bailey sinks to new low in shock scenes
CORONATION Street viewers were left shocked after Ed Bailey resorted to stealing money from his brother Ronnie Bailey.
Ed’s (Trevor Michael Georges) lies were finally exposed to his children Michael (Ryan Russell) and Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), dad and brother Ronnie (Vinta Morgan).
They found out their dad lied about their house being burgled just before Christmas, after seeing camera footage of him cashing in the presents.
The family was rocked by the news and Ed’s admission that they could lose the house over his gambling addiction.
However, Ed reassured his family he had a plan to get themselves out of their money problems.
Ed was later seen making a call to a bank pretending to be his brother Ronnie.
After giving a security pin, he then requested a bank transfer money to his “brother.”
Viewers were left stunned as Ed sinks to a new low as he proceeds to pretend and steal from his sibling.
Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, one viewer said: “Ed is a joke! Anyone who stays with a gambler is good! They’d sell your knickers for a buck!”
Another wrote: “Ed now steals from his brother! Oh no.”
A third penned: “I don’t want to appear insensitive to the matter, fictional or not, but I’m fed up of Ed now.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV1.
