I live in a tiny campervan – it takes 40 secs to give a tour… but it’s got a swing & a cinema for luxury living
TWO UNIVERSITY graduates have taken to TikTok to document the upsides of living in a van.
Although Will and Meebs converted the small space themselves, and with a very small budget, the pair haven’t scrimped on any luxuries.
In their latest TikTok video the pair posted a tour of their mobile home.
It may have only taken 40 seconds, but what they’ve done with their space is incredibly impressive.
Meebs begins the video by showing the drawers they have by the door which serves as a shoe cubbie, before moving into the kitchen area.
Here, they’ve fitted a fully functional oven, hob, sink – which doubles as an outdoor shower, a fridge and “tons of overhead storage”.
They also have a bathroom, with a pull-out composting toilet, a living room with a sofa that converts into a table, and a double bed – of course.
The array of plants throughout the van give it an especially homely feel, and the additional touches like a mini cinema that pulls out by the bed and the swing at the entrance complete it.
Will and Meebs revealed that they decided to move into a van after university as neither of them had any idea what to do afterwards.
But they say it was a risk that has paid off.
After travelling Europe for a year, Will has been working remotely as an engineer, while Meebs has also been able to work remotely in mental health.
They have also achieved a strong follower base on TikTok, and have been posting van life content for their fans.
Most people have been incredibly supportive, despite van living remaining outside of the norm, and many TikTok users comment how envious they are.
One user wrote: “This is AMAZING. I really want one. ”
Another said: “Now this is really cool, impressive . You’ve both done an amazing job. Inspired me more ”
And a third added: “I love everything about this!”
While thousands more have flooded their comments with questions about logistics and pricing.
The couple have responded with videos to most comments, including the most frequently asked one regarding price – saying it cost them £16,800.
Families have also been recorded making the switch to van living.
Australian-based influencer Maddison Cate moved with her family from their house to live in the van.
She explains on her channel the reason for moving the family into the van was to have ‘more adventure and freedom’ in their lives.
