The Nation's Weather for Thursday, December 28, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Through the day tomorrow, a disturbance passing through the
Florida Peninsula will bring an area of steady rain,
especially early in the day, with some embedded thunder
around far southern portions of the state. In the Midwest, a
persistent storm will continue to spin slowly through the
region, with mixed rain and snow from Illinois into western
Indiana and Kentucky, but showers and some zones of steadier
rain extending across the Great Lakes into the Northeast,
with the best coverage mainly confined to New England.
Otherwise, outside of a few flurries sliding southward
through the central Plains, much of the nation's center will
be dry tomorrow. Dry conditions extend from the South across
much of the West, but an arriving storm brings showers at
times into the Northwest.
