Report: Tottenham man ‘desperate’ to leave – Likely to choose between Fenerbahce and Roma

TEAMtalk have revealed that Eric Dier is desperate to leave Tottenham Hotspur and is seriously considering a switch to Fenerbahce in January.

Dier has just six months left on his contract with Spurs, and with the centre-back not managing to win over Ange Postecoglou, a departure now looks inevitable for the player either in January or next summer.

Some outlets (such as GiveMeSport) have continued to insist over the last few days that the 29-year-old plans on leaving the club as a free agent at the end of the season.

However, this has now been contradicted by TEAMtalk, who say that Dier is ‘desperate to move on’ from Tottenham, given his lack of game time this season.

The report says that Ange Postecoglou has already sanctioned the centre-back’s exit and the player is expected to choose between AS Roma and Fenerbahce next month.

The outlet reveals that the Turkish side have already sent officials to London to discuss a deal for the England international, who is said to have been ‘greatly impressed’ by their plans for him.

The publication adds that Daniel Levy will accept a fee of around £5m for the long-serving Tottenham defender.

With Tottenham expected to bring another centre-back through the door in January, Dier would be aware that he would not get any game time for the next six months if he stayed at the club. So, I would be quite surprised if the 29-year-old is still at Spurs on February 1.
