'Rubbing her constituents the wrong way': Lauren Boebert slammed for switching districts
Colorado GOPer Lauren Boebert will reportedly be switching her districts in order to have a better chance at winning her 2024 election.
Boebert, who has been plagued by scandals and is facing stiff GOP and Democrat competition in her current Colorado district, will run in Colorado’s 4th Congressional district next year instead of the 3rd Congressional District, according to local reports.
"The 4th District is far more favorable to Republicans," The Colorado Sun reported.
"U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert announced Wednesday night that she is ditching her reelection bid next year in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District to run instead in the state’s 4th Congressional District, which is on the other side of the state and is far more favorable to Republicans," according to the article.
The piece continues:
"Boebert won by just 546 votes last year in the 3rd District, which spans Colorado’s Western Slope into Pueblo and southeastern Colorado. The 4th District is anchored in Douglas County and includes Loveland and the state’s rural Eastern Plains. The 3rd District leans 9 percentage points in Republicans’ favor while the 4th District leans 27 points toward the GOP, according to a nonpartisan analysis of election results from 2016 to 2020 by staffers for the Colorado legislature. Boebert doesn’t have to live in the 4th District to represent it."

According to the Sun, Boebert made the announcement on Facebook.
“I did not arrive at this decision easily,” she said in the video. “A lot of prayer, a lot of tough conversations and a lot of perspective convinced me that this is the best way I can continue to fight for Colorado, for the conservative movement and for my children’s future.”
National security attorney Bradley P. Moss slammed the move on social media on Wednesday, saying, "I guess Boebert decided she was just ... rubbing her constituents the wrong way."
Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report had this to say:
"This is good news for Republicans’ chances of holding onto #CO03, as Boebert was the main reason it was in so much jeopardy. Will move from Toss Up to Lean R at @CookPolitical."
