A HEALTH enthusiast has revealed the foods that she eats daily to maintain her age-defying appearance.
The 44-year-old spoke candidly about following a diet that keeps her skin hydrated.
Lauren Gallegos (@larloo22) has garnered over 463,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares anti-aging and wellness advice.
She took to the social media platform to share five foods that help to slow the visible signs of aging on the skin.
“Here are five foods I eat every single day to help my skin glow, stay super hydrated, and decrease fine lines and wrinkles,” she said.
Lauren placed a selection of fruits and vegetables on a table as she began to explain the benefits of each.
“Carrots are enriched with vitamins A, C, K, and dietary fibers,” she said.
“And they also include keratinoids and high water content of more than 86 percent.
“All these nutrients are beneficial for hydrating the skin, protecting the skin against the sun, acne, pimples, and pores.
“And they also serve as great antioxidants as well.
“Then we have lemon, one of the greatest sources of vitamin C, phosphorus, vitamin B, and antioxidants, and it is also great for anti-aging.
“Cucumbers are well known for hydrating your body and have a surplus of dietary fibers.
“Vitamin C, vitamin K, cucumbers also protect against damage caused by free radicals and aid in skin whitening and refreshing.
“Then we have oranges, full of vitamin C which can help your skin stay fresh by slowing down premature aging.
“Fighting again against free radicals, enhancing the production of collagen.
“Collagen is necessary to maintain the elasticity of your skin.
“You all know I love my collagen.
“Watermelons have an abundance of fiber, vitamin C, B1, and B, and lastly lycopene.
“Watermelon helps keep your skin refreshed, and wrinkle-free, it also helps in preventing tissue disruption.
“So watermelon is a lot of water. It comes with 92 percent water content so your skin also stays very hydrated in the summer.”
The 44-year-old looked ageless as she ate a large chunk of watermelon and raved about the benefits of eating the food daily.
