I bought a fur-trimmed hat online – what came looks nothing like what I ordered, people say it’s ‘giving King’s Guard’
BUYING clothes online can be a bit risky, but one woman’s latest purchase takes the cake.
The fashion fan was left shocked after trying on her new winter accessory — which looked nothing like the picture.
In her video, Oona Zlamany (@oonazlamany) modeled the fur-trimmed hat she ordered from TheRealReal.
The black Unsigned fox fur-trimmed hat is currently available for $99 from the website.
However, the TikToker’s try-on review might sway potential customers from the item.
“So I ordered this hat from TheRealReal and it comes, I’ve been waiting for it for weeks,” Oona explained.
“It comes and this is not the hat I ordered,” she told her followers.
Oona placed the taller-than-advertised hat on her head and pointed out another issue.
“It won’t even fit on my head, to be fair I have a very big head but this is not normal,” she said.
“Like, what the f**k is this?” Oona asked as she took the hat off to examine it before placing it back on her head.
“I’m actually in shock,” she told her audience.
“Watching this back my mouth was on the floor,” Oona added.
For comparison, she included a screenshot of the item she had ordered from the brand.
“I think I’m disappointed with TheRealReal, you have an enemy now,” Oona concluded.
Her followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the look.
“It’s giving King’s Guard,” joked one viewer, comparing Oona to the famous guards outside Buckingham Palace.
“Seeing what the original looked like makes this so much funnier,” wrote another TikTok user.
“OK, I was like, ‘That’s a choice’ but then you showed what you ordered,” said a third person.
One viewer joked that it had “Rasputin aesthetic,” while another turned to song: “Ra ra rasputin.”
Several likened it to a traditional fur hat, called a shtreimel, that’s worn by some Hasidic Jews, while others compared it to a makeup brush.
