‘Everybody should be made to watch Spurs play’ – Lawrenson predicts Brighton score
Mark Lawrenson expects a high-scoring game between Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday and believes that the spoils will be shared by the two sides.
Tottenham have been the entertainers of the Premier League so far this season, with Ange Postecoglou’s men being involved in a number of high-octane, thrillers so far this season.
The same can be said, perhaps to a slightly lesser extent, about Brighton, who, after their impressive start to the campaign, have stuttered quite a lot over the last month or so.
Lawrenson believes that given the style of football the Seagulls and Spurs play, we could be in for a cracker at the Amex Stadium.
The pundit was particularly complimentary about the Lilywhites, insisting that they play the game the way it is supposed to be played, but he opined that he expects Postecoglou’s men to be held to a draw by Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
Who will win in Brighton vs Tottenham this evening?
Lawrenson told Paddy Power: “This is two very good footballing teams. It will be a good match this, and I think everybody should be made to watch Spurs play because that’s what football’s all about!
“They’ve done fab when you think about the injuries and Harry Kane leaving about a week before the season started. Ange Postecoglou doesn’t moan about anything, they just attack and attack.
“I fancy a high-scoring draw and a good, open game of football. Brighton 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur.”
Spurs Web Opinion
This is undoubtedly the game of the round and perhaps a much-watch for neutrals. Despite Brighton’s recent downturn in form, Spurs will have to be at their best to emerge with all three points from the south coast.
