I was a Love Island star but got booted out of the villa in shock dumping – now I’m back at my normal job
A LOVE Island star has returned to her normal job after being booted from the villa in a shock dumping.
Fans of the hit ITV2 dating series will remember Amy Day from the seventh series of the show.
The brunette bombshell, 28, had a short-lived experience on the show after being booted out just six days in.
Her axing came after she was brutally dumped by teacher Hugo Hammond.
The hunk had described Amy as just a “holiday romance” before she left Love Island.
But now the reality star has swapped television for houses as she returns to her job as an estate agent.
Amy, who has amassed nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram, is still pursuing her acting dream on the side.
She is currently starring as the Genie in Aladdin at the Central Theatre in Chatham.
Amy has been keeping her followers updated on her performances on social media, including posting behind-the-scenes footage.
The forgotten Love Island star is sharing a stage with EastEnders actor Delroy Atkinson who plays Howie Danes in the BBC One soap.
Amy previously told The Sun how she had her sights set on a soap role in Hollyoaks.
However, property remains her primary focus for now.
She told New Magazine: “Property is something I’ve done for eight years and returned to three months after appearing on Love Island.
“I’m self-employed so I’ve always been aware of the need to keep working.”
