One critical after being hit by car in South Franklinton

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle on Columbus' west side Tuesday night.

A Columbus police dispatcher said the accident happened near the intersection of West Mound Street and South Cypress Avenue at approximately 10:41 p.m.

The victim was taken in critical condition to Grant Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Details surround the crash were not immediately available.
