US military's spaceplane launches from SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida: The U.S. military's X-37B robot spaceplane has been launched on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket capable of carrying it to a higher orbit than previous voyages.

The launch, the plane's seventh mission, took place at NASA's Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida on the night of December 28 and was broadcast live on a SpaceX webcast.
