Interest Rate Volatility a Major Theme in 2024, – Neil Maffei

Neil Maffei of Monex notes that market volatility, geopolitical instability, and rising interest rates have impacted valuations in 2023. While interest rate volatility is likely to remain a major theme in 2024, there are opportunities for private capital. London-based Neil Maffei is the head of the institutional division at U.K.-based foreign exchange firm Monex Europe, whose team is “pretty focused” on the private capital space and institutional investors. When we interviewed him, he said he had initially intended to cover this topic very broadly. However, given that Delano is based in Luxembourg and that Monex expanded its offices in September, he decided it made more sense to approach the question from an alternative investment perspective.
