The Traitors star Charlotte shows her huge scar from emergency brain surgery ahead of stint on show
A star of the second series of The Traitors underwent emergency brain surgery in the past.
Charlotte, a 32-year-old from Warwickshire, went under the knife back in 2018 after suffering with trigeminal neuralgia, a sudden and very serve facial pain that is likened to having an electric shock.
After a number of stays in hospital, Charlotte was rushed into surgery.
She told her followers at the time: “Just found out my brain surgery is now emergency and will be in a couple of days… scared s***ess but I can do this!!
“Sending my love to all my family and friends that have supported me thru this horrid illness with a special mention to @laurachilts and @thornettsally. Everyone wish me luck!”
Following the op, Charlotte shared a picture of the large wound with stitches behind her ear.
She wrote: “Battle scar from my emergency brain surgery!!! Still in intensive care but getting there slowly.”
Fast forward five years and Charlotte has landed a place in the castle for the hotly-anticipated second series of The Traitors.
As a recruitment manager, she has more than enough experience getting people on board her cause.
But more than anything, she is happy to act out any scenario to get what she wants.
Speaking before the show stars, Charlotte confessed: “I think I’m really good at pretending I don’t know what’s going on, when actually, I have a very good idea.
“I play the ditzy one and I make self-deprecating jokes constantly, and I don’t get embarrassed easily either – which I think is good.”
She also admits that she is more than comfortable playing games as she explained: “I used to play poker tournaments.”
The personality added: “They used to just think ‘Who’s the bimbo at the end of the table?’ but I’d still make it to the end.”
