We transformed the cupboard under the stairs into a dreamy pink ice cream playhouse – it was easy and looks cute
A COUPLE fed up with the dead space under their stairs came up with a very sweet solution.
The creative mum and dad transformed the storage area into an “ice cream” parlour for their young toddlers to play in.
The pink-hued area looked like a kid’s dream with a mini kitchen and a till to ‘serve customers.’
TikTok users @carakuulei added a sign about the ice cream shop, showing how they had named it Sissies Sprinkles for the two young girls.
In a video which has racked up over 211,000 likes, the parents wrote: “When you have two toddler girls and an unused storage space under the stairs…
“You build a Pinterest dream ice cream shop.”
The mum even added adorable little outfits for her two mini shopkeepers to wear.
And the kitchen included scoops of plastic ice cream for her kids to serve up.
The girls were clearly delighted with their new playroom and were seen happily running into the under-stairs space.
Internet users were equally impressed.
One wrote: “My dream to have this for MYSELF but not for my kids.”
Another added: “Cutest thing I have ever seen!!!”
A third commented: “What a wonderful childhood memory to give them.”
However, some were quick to point out how low the ceiling was, with one saying: “so what happens when they grow taller.”
They aren’t the only parents to turn the space under the stairs into something fun.
Another mum turned her ‘dead space’ under the stairs into a sweet cubby for daughter’s birthday using IKEA bargains.
