Jeopardy! viewers convinced ‘unwatchable’ ITV reboot will be AXED and beg ‘bring back Deal or No Deal!’
JEOPARDY! viewers have predicted the ‘unwatchable’ ITV reboot will be AXED and they begged, ‘bring back Deal or No Deal!’.
Stephen Fry‘s rebooted quiz show returned to UK screens on New Year’s Day.
The quiz show quickly became a hit in the US after its debut in 1964, becoming a household favorite.
But it seems UK viewers were not impressed – and many are convinced it will get axed.
Taking to social media, ITV fans ripped into the show, branding it ‘unwatchable’ and ‘rubbish’.
One fumed: “Jeopardy, Bring back Deal or No Deal. It was s**t but not as unwatchable as this.”
A second added: “I doubt this will get a second series.”
A third complained: “This is rubbish! Get rid of it.”
A fourth penned: “Stop trying to make UK #Jeopardy happen. Its rubbish. Plus why is that font shouting at me?”
A fifth wrote: “This is just painful to watch.”
Despite some negative feedback, other viewers seemed to enjoy the show.
One wrote: “British #Jeopardy is fantastic. It is not dull at all. Legend Stephen Fry is a brilliant host. The most authentic British version yet of anything I have seen ‘imported’.”
Jeopardy! sees contestants use their best general knowledge to win rounds and a potentially life-changing amount of money.
The reboot will allow participants to play an extra round compared to the original format, increasing the stakes for the players.
It comes after viewers slammed ‘obnoxious new host’, Stephen Fry during the episode.
Jeopardy! airs at 4pm weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX
