Punjab experienced a 16.52 per cent year-on-year growth in revenue from Goods and Services Tax (GST) and a 10.4 per cent increase in revenue from excise levy during the April-December period of the current fiscal year. The net GST collection reached Rs 15,523.74 crore, compared to Rs 13,322.59 crore in the previous financial year. The revenue from excise levy rose to Rs 6,679.84 crore.
