Vice-Admiral Sanjay J Singh has been appointed as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command (WNC) in India. He succeeded Vice-Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, who was appointed as the Vice Chief of Naval Staff. Singh has a 37-year career in the Navy, serving on various ships and holding various command, training, and staff appointments.
