I have such a long tongue people ‘scream’ when they see it… they suggest I use it as ‘windscreen wipers’ for my eyes
A WOMAN has left people totally gobsmacked and ‘screaming’ after showing off her unusually long tongue.
According to the World Talent Organisation, the world‘s longest tongue belongs to Chanel Tapper, whose tongue measures an impressive 9.75 cm (3.8 in) from the tip to the middle of her lip.
But looks like Chanel might now have a rival, as there’s a new tongue that’s taken social media by storm and it belongs to the internet personality and sensation Charlena Aquino.
The young woman, believed to be from the USA, has left TikTok fans both horrified and stunned with her abnormally large tongue, which is so long, she can almost reach the bottom of her eye.
Although she hasn’t yet revealed the exact measurements of her tongue, touching her nose is an easy task – in fact, the woman can reach the mid-portion of it with no difficulties.
Charlena, whose TikTok page, @charlenaaquino_gnc, has won more than 462k followers, certainly makes the most out of her unusual natural gift, as she also rakes in by sharing personalised videos to her fans.
However, whilst the incredible length of her tongue is certainly impressive, it’s also left people totally horrified, with some even ”screaming” by the sight of it.
”THE WAY MY JAW DROPPED,” one was lost for words after Charlena pulled out her tongue.
”I screamed my lungs out,” someone else chimed in under the now-viral video.
”That caught me off guard,” a third penned.
”You don’t need spoon for clean Nutella jar,” another chuckled, whilst someone else advised her to use the long tongue as ”windscreen wipers” for her eyes.
But apart from being a great party trick to entertain the guests, does having a long tongue have any other pros?
Well, someone who can share a little about this is Nick Stoeberl, who recently claimed he can hold a whopping five doughnuts with his 3.9 inches-long tongue.
“I’ve always sort of known I’ve had a long tongue, just like you would know if your hand was bigger,” he said.
“It was quite useful on long road trips being in the back seat and sticking out my tongue [at people],” he told Guinness World Records.
Drivers would be shocked to see not one but two mouths agape on the freeway, as Stoeberl’s brother also has a significantly long tongue.
“Growing up we’ve stuck our tongue out at each other enough to be like ‘hey, we’ve got some long tongues,'” the record holder said.
“Every time I’m introduced to someone new, they’re like ‘hey this is Nick Stoeberl, he has the longest tongue in the world,” the bloke chuckled.
“So upon meeting someone, immediately I just have to stick my tongue out at them.”
Other than just impressing strangers, his taster can be useful in more ways than one, especially when it comes to food.
“My tongue is useful for a lot of the conventional things you would think.
“Licking lollipops, eating ice cream, and getting all the pudding out of the bottom of the cup.”
He’s also developed an artistic hobby that implements the larger-than-usual organ.
“I use my tongue to create… you could call it art I guess,” he revealed.
“I wrap my tongue in cling wrap, dip that in acrylic [paint] and apply that to a canvas.
“I know it’s rather long and I can do that so why not express myself through that medium?”
