Salvation Army is the most magical place on earth, I thrifted $250 vintage Levis for $8, got Prada for $7 & a suede coat
ONE man’s trash is another man’s treasure — and one woman proved the old adage right at Salvation Army.
While shopping at the thrift store, she scored luxurious finds including Levis, Prada, and a suede jacket.
Krista Lavrusik (@krista.lavrusik) filmed herself trying on the goods in a video on TikTok.
“Still can’t believe this is all from one store. The Salvation Army is the most magical place on earth,” she said.
“I don’t know who these people are who donate these incredible things, but I thank you,” she added.
She held up a pair of 501 jeans from Levi’s, which typically retail for $250 on vintage websites.
“I literally have try these on first. They are vintage 501, supposed to fit me like a glove, for $8,” she said.
Additionally, she found a vintage leather vest and several high quality sweaters.
“Banana Republic cashmere top. Fantastic. This is why I don’t see the point of ever shopping at a retail store in my life again,” she said.
She even found a high fashion item, unsure if it was the real deal.
“The curveball item, that makes no sense and the only reason that I got it was because I was like, surely this is not real,” she said.
“Surely it’s not real Prada. Just in case it is, she was $7,” she added.
She also purchased a winter staple from Salvation Army, which had her at a loss for words.
“This suede jacket is just like: ‘What?'”
She described her overall experience with thrifting as a positive one.
“It was literally a dream,” she raved.
