Jevon Holland admitted that Lamar Jackson's left-handed dropback had the Dolphins confused in real time

Lamar Jackson’s Week 17 performance against the Miami Dolphins seemingly locked up the offensive MVP award for the Ravens quarterback. And for Dolphins safety Jevon Holland, there was one play in particular that had him thinking, “OK, this guy is different.”

During the second quarter, the Ravens opened a drive with a 75-yard touchdown pass to Zay Flowers. Looking back on the play, it was a surprising change in Jackson’s dropback that threw off the Dolphins as the play unfolded.

Jackson dropped back like he was going to pass the ball with his left hand before he turned and found Flowers down the sideline. It was so smooth that Holland had to shout out the play during Dolphins media availability.

“Hmmmm, that was pretty dope,” Holland said of his immediate reaction to the play.

And while it would have been incredible if Jackson broke out a left-handed pass, just the thought of it was enough to briefly confuse the Dolphins defense. NFL fans also had thoughts on the play.
