Ravens perform on the field and in the community | READER COMMENTARY
In reading the latest article on whether Baltimore is a football or baseball town, it occurred to me that there was a factor in allegiance that wasn’t mentioned (“Is Baltimore a baseball or football city? Stellar 2023 for Orioles and Ravens reignites longtime debate,” Dec. 30). The Ravens not only perform on the field but also in the community. Steve and Renee Bisciotti are heavily invested in making our community better. From their $100-million dollar funding of medical research and job creation to their support of organizations like Leveling the Playing Field, Living Classrooms, Catholic Charities and countless others, they and their players are making life better for Baltimore. That engagement enhances the love we have for football and in particular our Ravens. If the Orioles ownership want to level the playing field they should take note.
