Aaron Evans reveals how much The Traitors contestants are paid per day to appear on the show
THE TRAITORS star Aaron Evans has revealed how much contestants are paid per day to appear on the show.
Yacht broker Aaron, 25, won the hit BBC One contest alongside Meryl Williams and Hannah Byczkowski when it debuted in 2022.
While the final three faithfuls were able to split £101,050 between them, the former estate agent has told fans what the rest of the cast walked away with.
In a Q&A posted to YouTube today, he explained that show contestants get ‘subsidised’ with what they would normally earn while filming.
He said: “It’s roughly like £100 a day. It’s not that much, but its definitely worth it.”
After the show, Aaron said he would be giving most of his winnings to his mum for a deposit on a house but has confirmed he has kept around £3,000 to spend on travelling.
While on the show, he found himself at the centre of a heated row sparked by early casualty to the game John.
The spa therapist had wickedly accused Aaron of being a traitor and slammed him for repeatedly asking questions.
However the deserving winner opened up on the show and admitted that as a result of his ADHD his actions can sometimes be misconstrued by others.
Speaking afterwards, Aaron told us: “I completely forgot I even said anything about the ADHD so it didn’t affect how I played it.”
The Traitors returns for its second series tonight as Claudia Winkleman is joined by a new cast for another round of twists, turns and betrayal.
Series one took the reality TV world by storm and series two looks to add another layer of drama to the already-tense set-up.
The first episode of series two airs at 9pm tonight, with the following two episodes available on BBC iPlayer immediately after.
Despite initially turning down a return to the show, Claudia will once again host proceedings.
Among this year’s contestants are chess master Anthony, model Mollie and clairvoyant Tracey.
