Dodgers trade Bryan Hudson to Brewers for minor-league lefty
LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers acquired a minor-league pitcher in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.
The Dodgers swapped left-handers with the Brewers, sending Bryan Hudson to Milwaukee in exchange for Justin Chambers. The Dodgers will also receive a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Hudson, 26, spent most of the 2023 season in Triple-A but made six relief appearances for the Dodgers last season with a 7.27 ERA. He was designated for assignment last week in order to clear a roster spot for right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Chambers, 18, was the Brewers’ 20th-round pick in last year’s draft out of Basha High School in Chandler, Ariz. Chambers was committed to Arizona State but was recovering from Tommy John surgery at the time and signed with the Brewers instead for a $547,000 bonus.
Chambers has yet to make his professional debut.
