Role Description:
We’re looking for a talented graphic designer to join our small design team. You’ll work with a group of designers to translate complex concepts into visualizations that help our audience learn about UX.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Very strong visual and conceptual design skills
- At least some knowledge of UX
- The ability and willingness to collaborate with UX researchers
Our new teammate will work on:
- Data visualizations
- Creating templates for graphs and charts
- Concept visualizations and infographics
- Book design and visuals
- Typesetting
- Storyboarding
Responsibilities:
- Grasping in-progress UX concepts and exploring methods for visually representing them
- Understanding constraints, requirements, and considerations of deliverables
- Sketching concepts to communicate ideas
- Collaborating with authors, researchers, other designers, and videographers to improve visualizations
- Producing high-fidelity, polished outputs: icons, infographics, and posters
- Designing a visual system for physical publications
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design (or visual design), UX, or similar field
- A degree in design: graphic design, visual design, interaction design, communication design, or a related design discipline
- Strong visual design skills: color, typography, imagery, and iconography
- Excellent ability to translate research insights and frameworks into a consumable, compelling visual
- Able to seek input, iterate, and quickly adapt to feedback
- Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
