I’ve moved into my Vauxhall Corsa after transforming it into home on wheels – we even made a ‘kitchen’ in the boot
A WOMAN moved into her Vauxhall Corsa after transforming it into home on wheels with a kitchen in the boot.
Rose Keith was able to go car camping in the Lakes and then up to Scotland with her partner.
Rose was able to sample the great outdoors after her grandfather transformed the Corsa into a home on wheels with wood from his garage.
With some decent DIY skills the pensioner set about converting the Corsa’s interior into that of a camper van.
Rose posted a video on TikTok which showed her grandfather converting the boot into a kitchen space.
She said: “This whole project didn’t actually cost me a penny as all the wood used was stuff my grandad already had in his garage.”
TikTok users were impressed. One posted: “Nice – you should get a roof box for some more space.”
Another said: “Love it! Is it only the box in the boot, wood on hinges over the top or did build anything up in the space behind the driver and passenger seat.”
Ollie and Nemi ‘s story started with a builder’s van that they decided to turn into a home.
The couple, who had no previous experience of building a van, set about transforming it into a home. They then christened the vehicle the Vandercamp.
Ollie had 18 years experience as an electrical engineer so he had the skills to kit out the van with all mod cons.
After the couple realised a baby was on the way, Ollie had the motivation he needed to get the van ready for the road as soon as possible.
