'Making him so very nervous': Trump posts flood of late-night notes about E. Jean Carroll
Some might say E. Jean Carroll is living rent-free in ex-president Donald Trump's head.
Trump on Thursday morning made waves with more than 30 Truth Social posts aimed at Carroll, who successfully sued him for defamation and sexual battery last year and is suing him again now, within 30 minutes. At night, he kept up that posting pattern.
Most of the posts were excerpted from a Vanity Fair interview with Carroll from 2019, with quotes taken out of context to denigrate her character, including a line in which she said she is living a "fabulous" life and one in which she confessed to "flashing" a professor on her college campus.

He also quoted right-wing reporter Byron York, who wrote, “Tech billionaire Reid Hoffman is bankrolling Carroll’s case. Like so many others involved on Carroll’s side, Hoffman is profoundly anti-Trump. He is also not afraid to push the envelope of anti-Trumpism; in 2018, he apologized for funding a group that secretly imitated Russian disinformation tactics in an attempt to benefit the Democrat in Alabama’s special election for the U.S. Senate."
He also posted the following line several times over, each accompanied by various images:
"Except for a Fraudulent Case against me, I had no idea who E. Jean Carroll was. She called her African American Husband an 'ape,' and named her Cat 'Vagina.' Look at her Tweets, Stories, and the CNN Interview about her. The Judge on the Case is another Highly Partisan Clinton-Appointed Friend. He should have recused himself long ago!"
"Our gal E. Jean is making him so very nervous," law professor Jen Taub wrote on her social media Thursday.
