‘Lasts so much longer’ homeowner discovers ‘best way’ to make her house smell like a candle, without even lighting one
THEY’RE a staple in many a house across the country.
But scented candles often don’t come cheap, meaning that often people put off lighting them in a bid to make them last longer.
However, one savvy homeowner has explained how she found a hack to get her entire house to smell just like her favourite candle – without even lighting it.
“I got one of the most genius presents for Christmas and I’ve never heard of them before so just look at this,” Hollie said in a video on her TikTok page.
“If you like candles, you’ll love this.
“As you walk in, you think, ‘Oh that’s a really cute lamp’.
“It’s an actual candle warmer.
“I can burn my candles without ever having to light them.
“And it makes them last so much longer.“
The warmer uses a 50-watt halogen warming bulb to “melt the candle from the top down”.
As an added bonus, there’s no smoke, no soot and no pollution.
“This whole invention to me is just crazy because I’m obsessed with it,” Hollie continued.
“Would you ever believe me if I said I’d burnt this candle for maybe six hours, three or four times?
“Like, it’s still practically full.
“I think it’s bl**dy genius to be honest.
“Maybe I’ve been living under a rock and everyone knows about this, but I’ve never heard of them before.
“But if you didn’t know, now you know, and they’re really good!”
“Mind blown ngl,” she captioned her video.
And the comments section was almost immediately filled with people expressing their own excitement about the warmer.
“Never seen it but now I need it,” one wrote.
“You can grab it on Amazon!” Hollie replied.
“Just search ‘candle warmer’ – I’m honestly obsessed!”
“Got my mate one for Christmas,” another said.
“They’ve been out a good while but I don’t think they get the recognition they deserve.
“Game changer!”
To which Hollie wrote: “I can’t believe I’ve been a candle hoarder all my life and never ever heard/seen these before!
“Better late than never I guess!”
“Brilliant… there goes my plan not to buy anything in January,” a third said.
“Got one too, it’s lovely,” someone else said.
As another wrote: “I like to see a flame flicker on a candle but I also want one!”
Not everyone was convinced by the product though.
“The best thing about a candle is the warm glow you get from the flame,” one argued.
As another pointed out that it’s “using electricity though which you don’t normally” with a candle.
