‘Farcical!’ rage Emmerdale fans as they call out TWO glaring blunders in fallout from car crash
EMMERDALE fans have branded the soap ‘farcical’ as they called out TWO glaring blunders in the fallout from the car crash.
Earlier this week, Heath Hope died in a car accident after his twin sister Cathy stole a car to drive them to a house party in another village.
The twins were joined by Angelica King, and were seen driving along the country roads before Heath and Angelica told Cathy to go faster.
Following the crash, the twins’ dad Bob Hope and partner Wendy were seen driving to try and find them, before finally coming across the tragic scene.
The village has been dealing with the aftermath of the accident ever since, and in Thursday’s episode, Heath’s friends headed to the crash site to leave flowers and pay their respects.
Bob also headed back to the point where his son lost his life, but Emmerdale viewers were left baffled by the fact everyone seemed to be walking to the memorial.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “How far away from the village were they that they can just easily walk there? #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “#emmerdale 10 miles in the car ! 2 mins to walk there ! Farcical.”
A third tweeted: “How can they walk to the scene of the crash, when them obnoxious kids were driving for ages #emmerdale.”
Meanwhile a fourth shared: “They were driving in the car for ages and yet the kids have all just walked there? #emmerdale.”
It wasn’t the only blunder that viewers spotted in the episode, as one eagle-eyed fan zoomed in on the newspaper article featuring Heath’s death and the passing of Chloe Harris’ dad Harry days before.
The articles were side by side on the page, and the viewer tweeted a screenshot along with the caption: “Just catching up on last nights Emmerdale.
“Had to pause and read the paper. The scenes focus was of course on Chloe’s dad, the article repeats itself towards the end. But what’s more strange is how the same write up is used for Heath’s write up.”
Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
