I wore a see-through white dress to the office, my co-workers did not deserve to be flashed like that but I made it work
A FASHIONISTA has raised some brows at work with a see-through white dress.
She said her co-workers didn’t deserve to be “flashed,” but she made the style functional for the office.
Alaa (@weirdlydressed666), who works as a product designer, filmed herself all dolled up in a video on TikTok.
“Let’s style this very see-through dress to go to work,” she said, holding up the white lace number.
She explained that due to working from home, she hasn’t focused on shopping for suits and sweaters, but rather bold choices.
“I’ve only gone to the office like three times in my life, and now I have to go three times a week,” she said.
“But for the past year, when I’ve been buying things, I haven’t been buying them for the office. I’ve been buying them for the streets,” she added.
She put on the dress, with her underwear clearly showing through the outfit.
“Usually when I wear a dress like this, I intentionally wear black underwear to be a little cheeky, but ‘cheeky’ and the office don’t go together,” she said.
She offered some slight tweaks to change the impact of the dress in the workplace.
“We’re changing to nude underwear, so this is slightly better, but my co-workers do not deserve to be flashed like this. So we’re going to do a cover up,” she said.
After debating between a red and a brown skirt to go over the dress, she went with a brown pleated skirt.
“Am I crazy for liking this? Because I kind of like it,” she said.
She accessorized the look with a flower choker, metallic silver Mary Jane flats, a small brown purse, and sunglasses.
The video drew in many fashion fans who shared their two cents on the look in the comment section.
“What about a cream slip?” one wrote.
“That’s such a good idea,” Alaa replied. “I don’t know why I didn’t think of that.”
