The Supreme Court directed Patanjali to stop misleading ads following a petition filed by the Indian Medical Association, the largest body of modern medicine doctors with more than 350,000 members. The petition alleged that Patanjali's advertisements "make false claims about curing certain diseases". The next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 6.
