My grandma’s secret to a $10, 10-minute facelift is quirky – the magic ingredient is great for a skin pick-me-up
A SNATCHED face doesn’t always require a trip to the plastic surgeon, according to one woman who has shared her skincare secrets.
She said her grandmother’s tried-and-true method for a lifted effect is a steal at $10, compared to pricy cosmetic procedures.
Meagan (@meaganonline) filmed herself demonstrating the tip in a video on TikTok.
She said that after receiving numerous requests to detail her routine, she’s ready to spill the details.
“My grandmother’s secret to a 10-minute, $10 facelift was preparation hemorrhoid creams, but not the type that you can get over the counter,” she said. “At least here in the U.S.”
“They no longer use this magic ingredient it. I ordered mine from a pharmacy online out of Canada,” she added.
The product is called Preparation H with Bio-Dyne, selling on eBay for $9.99.
Bio-Dyne is an ingredient typically used for burns and other types of inflammation.
“This is a quirky product that we’re using in a non-recommended way,” she said.
She squeezed some of the Canadian hemorrhoid cream in the palm of her hand and rubbed it together to warm it up.
“I do warm it in my hands prior to using it. I do my normal skincare,” she said.
“I go a little bit lighter on my moisturizer and my under eye, because this is a creamy and has some moisturizing to it,” she added.
She said the effects of the product can be seen for up to eight hours, but it’s not for her daily routine.
“This is not something that I do every day, but it’s definitely something that gives me a pick-me-up or wake-me-up, gives me a little extra self confidence when I need it,” she said.
The video drew in many viewers who weighed in on the quirky regimen in the comment touch.
“I stopped using this years ago because it stopped working. Now I know why,” one wrote. “Thank you will now try to find.”
“Yes ma’am,” Meagan replied. “That ingredient is that magic.”
