Police clamp down on illegal employment

Police on Wednesday announced arrests for four cases illegal employment and illegal stay in the districts of Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos.

Following checks carried out on Tuesday, police made five arrests of workers found to be illegally employed in various premises, while their employers are also being investigated.

Two of the cases happened in a factory and restaurant in Nicosia, one in at a restaurant in Larnaca, and one was a domestic helper in Paphos.

Police efforts to combat illegal employment are ongoing.
