I’m a mum and I can’t stand the other parents at soft play – it’s so ‘cliquey,’ it’s like ‘gang territory’
And it turns out Nicole isn’t the only one to feel that way about soft play…
FROM pricey entrance fees to screaming kids, there are a whole host of reasons why parents dread soft play.
But one young mum has expressed her dislike for taking her child to soft play – and it’s all because of the other mums she encounters when she’s there.
The woman named Nicole took to TikTok (@nicoletimbrell_) and posted a recent video where she says: “Guess who just got ignored by every other parent at soft play.”
She then waves her hands in the air as she dances along in the kitchen to the Spice Girls hit, Wannabe.
Nicole captioned the post: “Why are you all so cliquey?!”
And it turns out she’s not the only mum to feel that way.
It wasn’t long before the post went viral, racking up thousands of views and several comments, with many quick to share their own personal experiences.
“Honestly it’s other parents that put me off taking my child to soft play,” wrote one.
Nicole replied: “It’s like gang territory.”
A second questioned: “Literally how do people even make mum friends.”
Nicole responded: “Seriously need to know.”
A third chimed in: “Been there – school playground loool.”
Meanwhile, a fourth agreed: “I feel this.”
Nicole replied: “I’m so sad that’s it’s not just me but also glad.”
Another person confessed: “Reason I didn’t go to mummy and baby classes.”
And a further added: “Honestly, the looks I get being a young mum, puts me off going.”
It comes after Fabulous previously told how a woman was mum-shamed at a baby group for being a size 6 just two weeks after giving birth.
Allanah hailed baby groups as the “worst places ever” and rushed to social media to recall her experience.
“When I walked into a baby group alone with a two week old in my size 6 clothing and witnessed a bunch of mothers laughing at me,” she claimed.
“Hate bitterness. Most of them do nothing but slate each other.
“Awful environment for kids and new mothers! Worst places ever.
“Always had miserable and judgemental vibes from them! It’s a shame.
“Not all groups are like this but you do get a majority of bad ones!”
