UK launch date confirmed for the top-rated US drama of 2023 – and it’s just weeks away
A BELOVED US drama is about to become accessible for viewers in the UK in just a few weeks.
Fire Country was the highest rated show on CBS last year, and soon Brits will be able to watch it on Sky Witness.
It follows the fictional story of Bode Donovan – played by Max Thieriot – a young felon who tries to shorten his sentence by joining the prison firefighting program.
He gets partnered up with professional firefighters in charge of dealing with huge wildfires in Northern California.
The risky job gets even harder for Bode when he has to put out an emotional blaze as well after getting assigned to fight fires in his rural hometown.
He was once a beloved part of his community, and has to reckon with his criminal record as he looks for a second chance.
The emotional drama will air on Sky’s UK streaming platform on Wednesday, January 24.
The Managing Director of Content for Sky in the UK and Ireland has shared his excitement for being able to introduce the show to new audiences.
Zai Bennett said: “Fire Country is ablaze with action, drama and stunning visual effects. It’s a series that you’ll just want to keep on bingeing.
“The show has been a huge hit in the US and I can’t wait to bring it to our audiences in the UK.”
Some of the big names on the cast include Billy Burke from Twilight, Kevin Alejandro from Lucifer, and Jordan Calloway from Riverdale.
