Love Island Chris Taylor reveals Hollywood superstar pal will be watching new All Stars show
LOVE Island hunk Chris Taylor has revealed his A-list pal Margot Robbie will be tuning in to the new All Stars series.
Chris, 33, is convinced the Hollywood actress will be glued to all the highs and lows in the villa when Love Island All Stars gets underway next week.
Barbie‘s leading lady Margot, also 33, is a super-fan of Love Island and Chris is certain she will be watching when he makes his comeback.
The All Stars series will see the return of 12 former islanders try their luck at finding romance in South Africa, including 2019’s Chris.
When asked about whether Margot will be watching, Chris exclusively told The Sun Online: “Oh, I hope so. I hope so and I think she will.
“She really likes the show and I suppose this is All Stars, isn’t it?
“There’s going to be various people that she’s enjoyed watching over the seasons that she might enjoy watching again. It’s an amalgamation of her time as a fan.”
Last year, Chris stunned fans when he made his big screen debut in the blockbuster movie Barbie.
Chris landed a role as a Ken in the film and was snapped on the red carpet alongside Margot at the premiere in July 2023.
He believes he was given the part after a chance meeting with the Australian actress at an “after, after party” some 18 months before.
Chris previously revealed: “Margot recognised us from Love Island – I was with Jordan and Mac and she came over to us, chatting and talking about Love Island.
“She loves Love Island. And then she said, ‘Do you want to come to the after, after party?’, which was back at her hotel. It was a massive hotel room, it was more like a house.
“It was all pretty bizarre.”
During the ‘after, after party’, Chris stepped outside for some air and was joined by Margot, so cracked some jokes “about the male anatomy”.
Eighteen months later, the reality star received a call from movie bosses at Warner Bros and was invited to an audition.
He landed a 30-second on-screen part in Barbie and even had a line.
Chris thanked Margot – who also co-produced the film – at the London premiere. He’d heard from her husband, English movie director Tom Ackerley, that she’d said, “We’ve got to get Chris in the film”.
Speaking to us in South Africa ahead of his big Love Island comeback, Chris admitted he doesn’t currently have Margot’s number or even his own phone to check to see if she will be watching All Stars.
The islanders have their mobiles confiscated before heading into the villa.
“Everyone keeps asking me. I don’t have have her details,” he said. “Obviously I don’t have the testicular fortitude required to ask Margot Robbie for a telephone number!”
Any hope of sliding into her Instagram DMs is also out, with Chris explaining: “I think she’s got an official account but I don’t think she runs it and then she’s got, like, burner accounts or whatever that she follows people on.
“But they’re like just like random alias or or whatever. So I wouldn’t know where to start. I could just start messaging everyone and hope for the best.”
A Barbie sequel is yet to be confirmed, however Chris is rather hoping he will be invited back if movie bosses ever do decided to make one.
He adds: “Yeah, well we hope so. “Apparently, there’s allegedly gonna be a Ken spin-off. So you know, throw my hat in the ring for that 100 per cent. Maybe we’ll get another line this time.”
