Aaron Rodgers finally got himself kicked off the Pat McAfee Show.

After a season filled with comments about Pfizer, false allegations about Jimmy Kimmel, and rarely any football talk, New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers is done on the Pat McAfee Show—for now. Pat McAfee announced that Rodgers weekly segments on the show would cease with the Jets’ season being over. Per The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch, this was a call that McAfee made himself.

This season has been a PR disaster for Rodgers on the McAfee show. From calling Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce Mr. Pfizer in October, to the continued thoughts about the COVID-19 vaccine, to insinuating that Jimmy Kimmel would be on the Epstein list that was released this week. Rodgers quickly drew the ire of every NFL fan with his weekly sessions.

He also forced ESPN to send a public apology for his comments, ones that he himself has not apologized for.

Of course, Rodgers spent his final appearance of the year going after “mainstream media”, including ESPN’s SVP of Production Mike Foss.

It’s important to note that this only says Rodgers won’t be appearing for the rest of the NFL season. Which means he can (and probably will) be back next season.
