Four years after Bravo’s “Real Housewives” empire kicked off with an unscripted series set in Orange County, California, focus was pulled slightly north for its sixth installment, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Since its premiere – which coincided with the first season finale of the ill-fated “The Real Housewives of D.C.” – the franchise’s second West Coast iteration has aired 13 seasons and more than 270 episodes centered on various groupings of 22 main cast members. As the first show in its franchise to initially star six women instead of five, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” launched in October 2010 with a cast consisting of Taylor Armstrong, Camille Grammer, Adrienne Maloof, Lisa Vanderpump, and sisters Kim and Kyle Richards. The latter Richards sibling boasts the longest tenure of any of this series’ stars, having so far appeared as a regular during every season. She most recently co-starred with Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Sutton Stracke, and Annemarie Wiley.
The average tenure for a “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member is 4.1 seasons. In the midst of season three, Vanderpump began headlining her own show, “Vanderpump Rules,” which hit its 10th anniversary in 2023 and stands as the longest-running spin-off in franchise history. It itself has spawned three related series: Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules After Show” (2015-2016) and “Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky” (2017) and Peacock’s “Vanderpump Dogs” (2021).
