‘Here we go’ - Romano confirms Sancho loan deal between United and Dortmund

0

Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over a loan move for Jadon Sancho.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims the 23-year-old’s loan deal doesn’t include a buy option.

The Bundesliga giants will cover part of the winger’s salary, with the overall package for the move costing approximately €4 million.

Sancho came to United with a big reputation in 2021 for an €85m transfer fee.

However, he has scored just 12 goals in 82 appearances across all competitions since joining the club.

He engaged in a public feud with manager Erik ten Hag earlier this season and was banished from the first-team squad

Things could have been resolved if he had apologised to the Dutch boss, but he refused to do so.

Most United fans will be happy to see the back of Sancho

Sancho reacted on social media to Romano’s post, suggesting his move to Germany is close.

Sancho is clearly happy to leave Man United after being banished from the first-team squad.

However, most United supporters are unlikely to miss a player who has demonstrated a distinct lack of maturity in recent months.

He could have apologised to the manager, admitted his mistake and promised never to repeat it.

However, his failure to do so highlighted he still has some growing up to do. Shipping him out of the club is the best move for all parties.
