RealSurf’s weather station was reporting 94% humidity at 0900. Temp was 25 (it’s going to 29) and skies were overcast (70% chance of a shower later), while down at Dee Why the surf situation looks to be essentially unchanged. The 0600 data from the MHL buoy was showing a S by SSE south swell of 1.3 metres at 9 seconds. Wind was out of the SSE at 5-7 kts. Dee Why looked clean, but you really need something like a SUP or a mal to have any hope of getting into the knee high waves. Oh, and the tide was just turning after hitting a very deep 1.94 m at 0850. If you catch anything, consider yourself lucky!
As always on a Thursday, I look forward to seeing what The Goat thinks about our surf prospects for the coming week when his latest missive drops at some point after midday. A quick glance at the latest GFS predictions has me particularly interested to hear what The Wise One thinks about mid-next week…
Go well with your day everyone!
