High school sports roundup (Jan. 10)
Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Wednesday, Jan. 10.
Girls basketball
Atholton 53, Marriotts Ridge 28: Kendi Caldwell scored 17 points for the Raiders in the win. Lamees Bazzi scored 10 points, but the visiting Mustangs fell to the Raiders.
Glenelg 48, Wilde Lake 13: Maria Garbis knocked down five three-pointers and scored a team-high 20 points in the win. Stephanie Lathrop added 10 points. For Wilde Lake, Deja Williams had six points.
Hereford 63, Parkville 17: Lauren Kraft scored 20 points to lead the visiting Bulls over the Knights.
Pikesville 63, Dulaney 44: Sophomore Mariah Jones-Bey paced the Panthers with 14 points, six assists, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks in the win.
Mount de Sales 58, Concordia Prep 38: The visiting Sailors (10-4, 3-2 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference) beat the Saints (3-7, 1-2). Mount de Sales was led by Shelby Lewis (19 points), Mackenzie Conley (14 points) and Clara Gaigler (11 points).
Boys basketball
Wilde Lake 64, Glenelg 61: Noah Brazil scored 16 points to lead the visiting Gladiators over the Wildecats. Glenelg was led by Michael Tolle with 23 points and Siji Jolayemi with 22 points.
Loch Raven 58, Milford Mill 55: The host Raiders (9-2) beat the Millers (4-6). Friday, Milford Mill hosts Parkville and on Tuesday Loch Raven travels to Dulaney.
Severn 72, Annapolis Area Christian 50: Kingston Price had a game-high 32 points to lead the host Admirals (10-5, 4-0 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference Black Division) over the Eagles (5-8, 2-3).. Friday, Severn travels to St. Paul’s and next Friday AACS hosts Concordia Prep.
