Wildlife group
to hold training
The wild animal rescue organization WildCare is offering orientation sessions for new hospital volunteers.
Sessions for adults are planned from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 24 and 1-3 p.m. Jan. 27 via teleconference. A youth training for high school students at the center in San Rafael is set for 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Jan. 28.

Supervisors elect
new leadership
Dennis Rodoni was selected as president of the Marin County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday. Rodoni represents District 4. He will serve for one year.
He previously served as board president in 2021. District 3 Supervisor Stephanie Moulton-Peters held the position in 2023.
District 1 Supervisor Mary Sackett was selected as vice president. Eric Lucan, who represents District 5, was named second vice president.

Speakers group
to host preview
A look at the candidates and issues on the March 5 primary election ballot is set for Jan. 17.
The luncheon will be put on by the Marin Coalition. National, state and local races and measures will be featured.
Check-in is at 11:30 a.m. The program is from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Club at McInnis, 350 Smith Ranch Road.
