‘Excruciatingly uncomfortable!’ rage BBC Breakfast fans as Naga ‘tries to trip up’ guest in ‘confrontational’ interview
BBC BREAKFAST fans raged at Naga Munchetty after a ‘confrontational’ interview.
The anchor, 48, was back on the iconic red sofa this morning with Charlie Stayt, 61.
Both presenters brought viewers the latest news from across the country.
During the show, they discussed the Labour party’s plans to introduce policy to allow for supervised tooth brushing of schoolchildren.
The plans are aimed at kids aged between three to five years old who attend breakfast clubs.
Naga and Charlie invited shadow health secretary Wes Streeting onto the show to debate the plans.
However, the interview became tense at points as Naga admitted she was “confused” by Wes’ plans.
BBC Breakfast fans watching at home were left enraged by Munchetty, who was slammed as “needlessly confrontational”.
One posted: “Is there a German word for how excruciatingly uncomfortable it is watching any politician being grilled by @TVNaga01 and Charlie on BBC news.”
Another said: “The arrogant @TVNaga01 trying to trip up @wesstreeting over toothbrushing this morning is hilarious. Wes had the perfect answer for all of her stupid questions.”
“Shut the f up. Get off the case with @wesstreeting stop belittling positive initiatives. #timeforchange #GeneralElectionN0W,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “Why is @TVNaga01 so needlessly confrontational in most interviews? This was just a segment on children brushing their teeth!!”
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
